Through entrepreneurship, she supports her family and educates her children, embodying resilience against injustices. During filming in August 2024, her daughter Umaching faced uncertainty about nursing school.

About the filmmakers
Neera Ibrahim, an 8th grader at Rocklin International School in Malaysia, wrote and helped produce "Pelaching Chak: Legacy of Struggle" about Bangladesh's minorities, under instructor Mohammad Reyad Akhter. She is also passionate to support asylum seekers, inspired by migrant families' challenges.
