In the heart of destruction and blockade, the story of Umm Malak emerged a Gazan woman who wove hope from her heritage. Her project, started after the 2014 war, survived every assault on Gaza. Through crochet and embroidery, women craft a tale of resilience and dignity.

About the filmmaker
Lana Mohammed Ouda is a 16 year-old from the Gaza Strip, determined to carve her path with hope and face despair with ambition. The camera is her companion: she holds it in one hand and carries her people's stories in the other, so their voices reach the world.
