Ruza, meaning Rose, is the story of young passionate 14 year-old wanting to pursue her dream of being a soccer player, and struggles with being taken seriously. Set against a Czech backdrop the short juxtapositions dreams and reality with surreal undertones denoting her struggle trying to claim her own identity in her immediate surroundings.

About the filmmaker
Raashi Metkari is a budding cinematographer who studies in the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. She primarily enjoys working with celluloid film as a medium to portray timeless stories of women across the world. She has been featured as a budding filmmaker in a National Daily Newspaper in India and went on a get a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.
