Finalists Announced!

We are thrilled to announce the ConnectHER Film Festival 2023 finalist films. Congratulations to all of the talented filmmakers who submitted films this year. Your creativity and determination have truly shone through!

The ConnectHER Film Festival is dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of women and girls through film. To date, we have awarded more than $259,000 in scholarships and have received more than 2000 original films from young filmmakers in 64 countries.

Winners will be announced at this year’s ConnectHER film festival, to be held in-person, in Austin, Texas Saturday, November 11 from 2 to 9 PM Central Time! You won’t want to miss this special event full of inspiration, celebration and authentic short films from around the world. REGISTER HERE.

The Best Film Production Award recognizes a film with high production values based on such criteria as cinematography and film editing. All submissions should focus on issues that impact women and girls globally.

Ending Violence Against Women ($2,500)

About 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical and/or sexual violence, according to the World Health Organization. This award was created to focus on people or initiatives to end this global scourge, which impacts women in every part of the world.

The Gems Choice Award winner is chosen by ConnectHER Gems, an elite group of ConnectHER supporters.

The Global Impact Award was created to recognize a film that raises awareness about critical issues affecting women and girls around the world including global health, economic independence and education.
