‘Rekha Hasda’ is a dedicated tribal woman land fighter fighting against the land brokers from Dinajpur in Northern Bangladesh.This tribal woman helped Guerilla freedom fighters during the 1970’s. To this day, she continues the fight to protect the land, nature, education and sanitation in her community. Women like Rekha Hasda are playing a very significant role in the socio-economics of Bangladesh.

About the filmmaker



Hasanul Hoq is an honors student in the Department of English at Jagannath University in Dhaka. He also writes, translates, makes short films, and works for women’s rights. Since childhood, it has been his cherished desire to work for humanity and the world. Some of his writing has been published in Bangla journals.
