Once a child bride, Ruvimbo decided to take a stand against the Zimbabwean Constitution and illegalise child marriages in Zimbabwe. Now, Ruvimbo is the founder of the Topodzi Foundation Trust that aims to eradicate child marriages forever and uplift Women's Rights.

About the filmmaker



Inspired by ideas of postcolonialism and feminism, Tapiwa Gambura is a multimedia artist from Harare, Zimbabwe. Playing the role of director, cinematographer and editor, she uses film to dismantle colonial stereotypes of African Womanhood by enhancing their visibility within mainstream media.
