Early marriages is a big issue among ethnic minorities in Georgia. The UN women study found that 32% of married ethnic minority women had married before 18. '16 years old wives' depict the marriage stories of women whispering in the background of a night village shot.

About the filmmaker
I am Gulgun Mammadkhanova,an ethnic Azerbaijani born and live in Marneuli,Georgia. I am studying Social Geography at Tbilisi State University. In 2018 I was enrolled in 'Multimedia Skills and Media Literacy for Ethnic Communities of Georgia' program by GIPA. I work as a journalist at Marneuli FM
