An IT project manager at General Motors helped found and now helps coordinate GM’s STEM mentorship program at the school. The program has grown to include 67 GM Mentors in the Austin IT Development Center. During the six-week program, GM mentors spend 1-2 hours per week tutoring fourth and fifth grade students in math and science topics using curriculum provided by SAE International’s a World In Motion Program.
