How do we empower women to achieve in the traditionally male dominated STEM fields? Two teenagers are working to solve the problem through their GEMS (Girls Empowered by Math & Science) program. This film profiles women in STEM advocates Larissa Collins and Caroline Davidson in their efforts to inspire young girls.

About the filmmaker



Sadie Price-Elliott is a 17-year-old student filmmaker. Her films have garnered attention from the Washington Post and national recognition from the National Coalition Against Censorship. Sadie wants to use video as a platform for the advancement of social / environmental justice and channel her artistic prowess toward the creation of films that inspire social change. In addition to being a filmmaker, Sadie is a student, writer and poet, debater, activist, and learner.
