This film shares the experiences of three young women who are passionate about STEM. Seeking reassurance, these young women looked to female role models for help regaining their confidence. They were given an opportunity to express their ideas, ask questions, and engage in work that they were excited about. They were shown by their mentors what it truly means to be a scientist.

About the filmmakers



We are four high school seniors at Baxter Academy for Technology and Science in Portland, Maine. Sylvie will be attending Smith College in the fall, and is planning to major in biomedical engineering. Mae also will be a part of Smith College's Class of 2021, and plans to major in neuroscience. With a major in biochemistry, Abbie would like to become a scientific researcher and help share her passion for science with young students. Abram intends to major in architecture while continuing his passion for filmmaking.
