Make Me Divine is a short about beauty standards in the Black American community and how they are detrimental to young Black girls. Make Me Divine follows the personal narrative of the writer, Bobbi Broome.

About the filmmaker



Bobbi Broome is a senior at Kent State University. She is a senior Psychology major with minors in Pan-African Studies and Digital Media Production. She has been into film since middle school, creating short films with her friends quite often. After a hiatus through most of high school and college, she decided to pick the camera back up again and seriously pursue film as a career. Her aspirations in film include traveling the world and documenting her travels and making a documentary about infant mortality.
